Stage 1. User Interviews and Prototype Testing

  • In the initial phase, we developed an interview guide and conducted user testing on existing prototypes of both soil analysis and fertilizer recommendation workflows. The goal was to understand how users interpreted the high-fidelity screens and the newly unified workflows.

  • We engaged six users to gather feedback on their understanding of the interactions and to identify any missing elements in the user experience. This phase focused on assessing the clarity and usability of the integrated soil analysis and recommendation system.

Stage 2. Reporting and Data Analysis

  • Following the user testing, we created a comprehensive report and organized the findings using Miro. The data was clustered to highlight recurring themes and pain points identified during interviews.

  • This analysis informed the necessary improvements for the prototype, ensuring that user feedback was effectively integrated into the design to enhance overall functionality and user satisfaction.

Reflections

This project highlighted the value of cross-squad collaboration in design, emphasizing the seamless integration of workflows and joint user interviews. Working closely with another team allowed us to unify processes and create a cohesive user experience.
